I don’t care what f—ing contest you win. To stay on top, you’ve gotta be a certain kind of person. The contest is the contest, there’s a winner and there’s a loser. But the winner is going to fall off the face of the earth in a month if they don’t have the real genuine drive and heart. I just, I don’t think it’s fair to drag people down about how they got there. I’m of course very confident in the way that I got here, and I feel that it prepared me, and at six o’ clock in the morning on my 23rd hour on a video set, I dig way down into my soul and I find that place where I was born to be an artist, and it carries me through. I am everything about what I do. Every marrow in my bones and blood is for this work. GaGa is the greatest creative journey of my life. GaGa

eats: a most delicious green monster.

  • 1 frozen banana
  • big, big handful of spinach [half the blender really]
  • approx. 1 cup light soy milk
  • 2 tablespoons of ground flax seed
  • 1 tsp. of agave nectar
  • 1 tablespoon almond butter

yep, dee-lish.

woke up about two hours ahead of schedule this morning, thanks to a wacked out dream that made sleep less than desirable. that’s okay, because i’m about to get all of our laundry finished & have ample time to get everything on my list checked off — including a trip to ‘ole tar-jay [sticking to the list], which would have been intimidating on a saturday if i woke up at nine per usual.

virginia johnson’s work has always caught my eye & her illustrations for kate spade are so whimsical. when this series from kate spade was published, i was totally gaga for the illustrations & posted them in my dorm room while i was taking art courses. simple, thoughtful, vibrant.
can you tell i’ve been itching to get my paints out ?

a huge fan of the colorful bags from baggu for groceries and such and also a fun way to wrap a gift - instead of those paper gift bags that never look all that great with tissue hanging out. you know? well, anyway this is a new canvas bag from baggu - the duck tote. and i will be toting mine around this weekend - to yoga, the bookstore, wherever. my favorite part is that i can sling it across my chest - freeing up my hands for taking pictures.

& only $18..! color me impressed.
